Annual Meeting (APCM) on 28 April 2024

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting in 2024 will take place on Sunday, 28 April as part of our church service at 10.30am. The best way to experience it is in person at St Mary’s. We do however recognise that this is not possible for everyone. The online component will therefore be in two parts: The beginning of the service will be on our Youtube channel as every Sunday. The ‘business part’ will then be on Zoom conference app (allowing you to vote and us to record your attendance). This way we are hoping that most church members can take part; if you are able, please attend St Mary’s onsite on the day.

  • There will be NO 9am service on the day so we can all be together
  • The Zoom details will be emailed to church members who register for the Zoom option. If you would like to take part as a non-voting guest, please contact our church office for the details.
  • If you cannot attend, please send your apologies to our church office in advance. They will be noted in the minutes.

What is an APCM?

It is the annual meeting of our church family – an opportunity to give thanks to God for all that has happened in the life of our church in 2023 and to get a clearer idea of his good plans for us over the next 12 months. We will also elect our two churchwardens and some members of our PCC. You can come to St Mary’s or join us online (please see above for more details).

Who can attend an APCM?

An annual meeting is a public event and anyone can attend. However, only those who are members of our electoral roll can cast their vote (plus local residents who are on the  for the electoral register for the election of churchwardens). If you join us on Zoom for the second part,  you will be able to cast your vote on Zoom, too.

How can I prepare?
