A Concert with the Churches Together Choir

A programme of uplifting music around the themes of faith, hope and love, including a great variety of pieces from choir anthems (“Look at the world” by John Rutter), traditional spirituals (“Swing Low”), timeless pop classics (“One Love”, “All you need is Love”) and hymns. Presented by the Churches Together Choir, led by Richard Cottle.

Richard Cottle was born in Swansea and comes from a musical family. He plays the clarinet, saxophone and keyboards and after touring with the likes of Alan Parsons and David Bowie, and session work with everyone from Eric Clapton to Wham!, he made a decision to stay closer to home with his family here in Denham, continuing to write, produce and record music. Richard regularly leads the music at the Roman Catholic Church of the Most Holy Name in Denham and has an amazing gift of getting both professionals and amateurs to perform to the highest standards.

The Churches Together Choir with members from a variety of churches in the area, first performed at a concert for peace at The Hub (Goldhill Baptist Church) in Chalfont St Peter in July. It was so much fun that they decided to come together for another concert as part of St Mary’s Festival in September. Due to the death of HM the Queen, the concert has been postponed to 9 October, 4pm.
