Prayers Friday 29th January 2021

Prayers for today Friday 29th January

This week more than 100,000 people have died from Corona virus.
In love we remember them in our prayers today:
In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust all we are connected to ( mention their names) who have gone to be with you Lord.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
We now bid them eternal rest.
The old order has passed away:
welcome them home
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
We pray for those mourning the death of these beloved ones:
Lord God,
you are attentive  to the voice
of our pleading.
Help those who mourn to find in your Son
comfort in their sadness,
certainty in their doubt,
and courage to live through this period of grief. May the never mourn like people without hope.
Make their faith strong
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Health workers all over the world are severely pressed right now.
Lord Jesus please surround all Heath workers with your love, heal, strengthen and encourage them. May they know your presence and your peace.
At every rainfall, there is always peace for the grass, may we continue to experience peace in every area of our life despite the challenges life throws at us.
God Almighty is able to turn our impossibilities to possibilities, and give us a new song.
We pray for great testimonies and miracles that will change the situation of things, the miracle that will wipe our tears, the miracle that will make us burst into laughter and dancing,  may we be visited with it today in Jesus Mighty Name.

Evening Prayer Wednesday 27th January 2021

As we pass the terrible landmark of 100,000 Covid-related deaths across the UK, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting the nation to pray.

Each person who has died was known and cherished by God.

Mr Welby and Mr Cottrell called on people to join in a “prayer for the nation” at 6pm every day from 1st February.

Prayers Friday 22nd January 2021

God’s morning to you all.

I pray you are safe and well…May His Name be Glorified this day in our worship…..
Today’s prayer:
Lord You are Worthy of ALL PRAISE. We surrender and bow in reverence to  You alone.
Thank you Lord for Your Mercies which are new this morning. Regardless of circumstances situations and challenges You are still God, still in control, still on the Throne. We know not what tomorrow brings but You have not given us the spirit of fear but of Power Love and a sound mind.
Help us to give our hearts to You, withholding nothing, help us to be still in Your Presence and receive Your Word, receive Your Glory. Though we are in isolation we are not alone; though the building is closed let the church be on fire for you.
Thank You Lord that You have made a way when there seems to be no way; that You keep Your Promises for You are not a man who should lie; thank You for Your Miracles of Life even in these perilous times.
You woke us up this morning to hear birds singing, have the ability to move our limbs. We lift our hands in praise and say Thank You Lord God our Saviour, our Healer, our Deliverer, our Light in the darkness, our All and All.
Thank you that We have caught your loving gaze and that you have cleansed us with your love. Let your words of truth and love awaken our hearts so that We can follow you.
Lord, We want to reach out to you today. We repent of any sin that blocks us from encountering you. Open our hearts and clean them with your unconditional love. Help us to reconnect with the joy of your salvation. Give us the courage to persist in prayer, even as you give us the peace of knowing that you will work things out for our good. Help us find joy in knowing that We belong to you forever. Holy Spirit, come into every area of our life and make your presence known. Teach us to accept and act on all the grace you have for us. Help us to receive whatever you want to share with us so that We can become a channel of your gifts. Amen.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers

Praying together on Friday

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39.

*THE STILLED STORMS:* There are several tempests that confronts us in life at every turn — spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, etc. Realistically there are times when we are scared like the apostles, though in the boat with the Lord Jesus yet confronted with the storm. Nevertheless, a call through prayers to the only one who has the authority over every storm that rages against us stills the storm. He will not let the will or attacks of the wicked to prevail over you. Therefore in the name of Jesus Christ, consider any storm before you stilled on arrival. I pray that the Father will soothe your doubts, calm your fears, dry your tears and still every storm before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ

Loving God, today we bring before you all grieving nations, tired doctors, exhausted nurses and other frontline workers. Comfort those who mourn. Give strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. May they soar on wings like eagles; may they run and not grow weary; may they walk and not grow faint. (Isaiah 40:1, 29, 31)

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayers
